With over 30 years of experience specializing in the planning and analysis of supplemental benefits, Chris is an expert in navigating the complexities of these plans. His in-depth knowledge of the issues surrounding supplemental benefits, coupled with a keen understanding of the intricacies of insurance products, enables him to tailor solutions that meet the unique needs of his clients.

Chris originated TWG’s proprietary High-limit Long-term Disability (High-limit LTD) policy, which was the first guaranteed-issue, multi-life, high-limit policy ever offered for sale by Lloyd’s of London underwriters. Under his leadership, Chris and his team have developed several groundbreaking products, each designed to meet the evolving compensation protection needs of their clients.

Before founding The Westport Group in 2006, Chris spent many years providing sophisticated insurance solutions for companies and individuals both domestically and internationally. His technical expertise in combination with his commitment to outstanding service is unparalleled.

Chris’ contributions to the industry have earned him numerous awards, and he has been a sought-after guest on financial talk shows. Recognized multiple times in Boston Magazine for his accomplishments in the financial services sector, he has also been quoted in leading publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Providence Journal Bulletin, The Atlanta Constitution, and The Denver Post. He is has also published a number of articles on a variety of financial topics.

Before entering the financial services industry, Chris had a distinguished career as a U.S. Army Infantry Officer, serving in some of the Army’s most elite units. The values of honesty and integrity that guided his service in these high-performance environments have remained central to his approach in creating tailored strategies and products for his clients.
Chris’ technical expertise, coupled with his unwavering dedication to client success, makes him a trusted leader in the field of supplemental benefits planning.

Chris holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Norwich University, School of Mathematics and Science, a Master’s degree from the US Army Command and General Staff College, and a Certificate in Leadership and Management from The Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
